Podcast Guest
Appearances
I’ve had so much fun being a guest on podcasts over the past few years—talking about everything under the sun. The strategic stuff: women in tech leadership, building authority in male-dominated rooms, breaking the executor trap. And the personal stuff that inevitably shows up at work: infertility, burnout, career pivots, what self-care actually looks like when you’re drowning in responsibilities.
Here’s what I’ve talked about on other podcasts. Some are about tech leadership. Some get personal. A few dig into coaching methodology. Pick what sounds interesting.
Want me on your podcast?
If you want someone who can talk tactical strategies AND get real about the hard stuff, let’s talk.
I bring 17 years of tech executive experience (Google, DoubleClick, VP of Product) plus my coaching work with senior women in STEM. I don’t do corporate jargon. I don’t do “lean in” platitudes. I show up for real conversations about what’s actually happening—the messy, interconnected reality of building a career and a life.
Topics I cover:
- Women in STEM leadership and career advancement
- Building authority in male-dominated industries
- Executive coaching and leadership development
- Career transitions and intentional living
- Infertility and workplace support
- The intersection of work and life (the messy parts)
WOMEN IN TECH LEADERSHIP & EXECUTIVE DEVELOPMENT
These conversations tackle the specific challenges women face in STEM careers—from being the only woman in the room to breaking through the executor trap.

Powering Up Women Executives
Women Road Warriors | December 2024 Shelley Johnson and Kathy Tuccaro asked me about something I see constantly: women executives who are brilliant but still plagued by impostor syndrome and self-doubt. We talked about the pigeon-hole problem—how you get stuck being valued for one thing even when you're capable of so much more—and what it actually takes to be seen as the executive you already are. This one draws heavily on my 17 years at Google and DoubleClick, because I lived this struggle myself.

Stepping into Authentic Leadership
Women in Data | October 2021 Kat Greenbrook and I talked about what authentic leadership actually looks like—and how it's different for everyone. We covered the unique challenges women leaders face in tech, how to find what you love in your work, and my own career shift from VP of Product to executive coach. This conversation touches on the messy reality of career transitions and figuring out what "authentic" even means when you've spent years adapting to corporate environments.

How To Be a Strong Female Voice in a Room of Men
What Has My Attention | October 2021 The late John Biethan and I explored what it actually takes to own your voice when you're constantly having to re-prove your expertise. After 17 years in tech, I've been in plenty of rooms where I was the only woman—or one of very few. We talked about the difference between proving yourself (which never ends) and owning your authority (which changes everything).

Brave and Courageous at Techive
What Has My Attention | October 2021 This was a follow-up conversation with Kim Brown, founder of Techive, a nonprofit that supports women in tech at every level. We talked about what it takes to create ecosystems where women don't have to fight these battles alone—and why community is so critical when you're navigating male-dominated industries.
Coaching, Intentionality & Career Transitions
These conversations explore coaching methodology, how to build a coaching practice, and the philosophy behind intentional living and career design.

Exploration, Guidance, and Holding Space
Conversations with Coaches | May 2023 Kevin Stafford and I dove deep into how coaches actually help people - not by giving answers, but by shining light into dark, scary places and guiding exploration. I love this conversation because we moved freely between the big-picture philosophy of coaching and the practical, tactical techniques that make it work. You don't have to choose between vision and execution; it's both/and.

How To Slow Down & Focus On What You Love To Do
Leadership with Heart | May 2021 Darlene Hawley and I talked about how slowing down and being intentional can completely change the direction of your life. My story illustrates this: I spent years in fast-paced tech environments before realizing that working harder wasn't the answer. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is pause, reflect, and focus on what you actually love—not what you think you should be doing.

Engineering Intention
Conversations with Coaches | September 2022 Another conversation with Kevin covering my journey to building a thriving coaching practice. We touched on intentionality in leadership, the nature of competition, misplaced notions of professionalism, and servant leadership. Also, I may have spontaneously invented the word "incubaking"—which Paul immediately stole (and I'm fine with it).

Finding Your Leadership Style
For Her Empire | January 2021 | Listen Not all leadership looks the same. This conversation explores different types of leadership styles and how to find your own authentic approach—rather than trying to fit into someone else's mold. Because copying a male leader's style when you're a woman in tech rarely works the way you hope it will.

Ordinary People Doing Extraordinary Things
Un-Caped Heroes | August 2021 A celebration of everyday heroes through stories of grit and gratitude. My conversation explored what it means to show up with character and integrity—and how ordinary people create extraordinary impact through consistent, grounded action. Not every hero wears a cape; most of them just show up, do the work, and care about doing it well.
The Personal Side: Infertility, Self-Care & Life Challenges
Some of the most important conversations I’ve had on podcasts weren’t about work strategy at all. They were about the personal challenges that inevitably affect our professional lives and how workplaces can better support people through them.

A Conversation on Infertility
Press for Champagne | May 2021 I met my partner later in life, which meant facing the reality that conceiving wouldn't be easy. This conversation walks through my IVF journey—not just the medical aspects, but how it affected my mental health, my relationship, and my work. If you're struggling with infertility, know you're not alone. And if you're an employer listening, there's a lot here about how companies can better support people through this.

Infertility's Impact on Work
What Has My Attention | February 2023 Christie Huber and I expanded the infertility conversation to look at the workplace implications. We talked about the importance of support systems, the financial barriers that make treatment inaccessible for many, and how businesses can create policies and culture that actually support employees through this. Because pretending it doesn't affect work performance just makes it harder for everyone.

Emotional Self-Care
Exploring the Seasons of Life | August 2022 Cindy MacMillan and I had a blast unpacking emotional self-care—and discovering that some of the most important acts of self-care aren't what we initially think. Spoiler: boundary setting is self-care. Being intentional about where you spend your emotional energy is self-care. We talked about what sustainable well-being actually looks like for people who don't have time for elaborate rituals.

Taking A Break To Be Present
How To Take A Break | March 2021 What does being present actually mean? And how do you incorporate it into a busy life? We explored three ideas: (1) Being present allows you to see opportunities right in front of you, (2) Taking a pause is more powerful than you think, and (3) You need to give yourself permission to take breaks—no one else will do it for you.

Rediscover Your Brilliance
Exploring the Seasons of Life | June 2021 | Listen Cindy and I talked about beginnings, endings, and the messy bits in between—particularly for women on a journey of self-discovery. This conversation explored self-love, well-being, and mindset with the premise that once you change the inside, the outside begins to change too. It's for anyone who's lost themselves along the way and is trying to find their way back.
